Apologies Re PBS Baking Magic with Rose Recipes
UPDATE: The recipes have now been posted.
I have received several postings from around the country alerting me to the fact that the producers of the show removed the website where my recipes from the show were made available.
I am working on having them added to this blog. Please be patient. I will post a heads up just as soon as this is accomplished.

To everyone, if you have a link our source where to purchase these tapes, let me know!

unfortunately it is the producers who have the rights to sell tapes and they don't do that for any of their shows. i'm sure some viewers have taped them.

I'm wondering what happened to the recipes. It looks like this blog ended on Feb 11.

Rose, I did a "bad" thing about a year and a half ago and I downloaded all the recipes from your Baking Magic Show's website. I have all the pdf files and pictures.
If it would be of help to you, I could upload them to the web and you could download them. Might make it easier for you to post them here.

Rose: Sorry I got so wordy in my last comment. I later used 3/4 cup of pork renderings to the recipe and doubled the pepper. It came out okay, I'll keep working on it. Also I was told that you published or posted an errata for the Bread Bible and the Zito recipe was modified, please advise..Dominick

Rose: I am a displaced New Yorker. I was born on Spring St. so I knew Zito's Bakery well. I followed the recipe in the Bread Bible for Zito's Prosiutto Bread. It came out with the texture I remember but not the taste. I remember a stronger pepper taste and a pork taste that did not come from the prosiutto. I remembered that when I was a kid Faicco's (across from Zito's)used to sell the "frita" from the pork fat after the fat was rendered for lard. At one time they kept a cake of the renderings in the window.more later

Rose,
Sometimes the blogs get so complicated.
I hope I didn't encourage Tyler with anything wrongly for you.....
I love your books.
You always make me feel you are right in the room....

p.s. i really appreciate the offer tyler.

tyler, i don't think it's possible to put them in the blog exactly as they were from the site, i.e. in charts and if anything has to be copied in a cut and paste kind of way there's a high risk of error. i painstakingly proofed all these recipes and don't want to ruin my reputation with errors introduced by an inputting process. so unless you now of a way to transfer them EXACTLY as they were please wait until my blog master and i do it.

Andi,
Many of us would love for our local pbs channel to start running the baking magic shows but they never do. I don't know why, but I've emailed mine several times and I always get a kind response from someone there but nothing has happened so far, I'll keep trying.
