My First Student Bill Yosses

I just heard the great news: Bill has been appointed White House Pastry Chef!!!

When he was pastry chef at Restaurant Bouley he reminded me that long ago I was his first teacher. He has a rare talent and is also a beautiful person. I couldn't be happier for him and a tiny bit proud just in case I contributed anything to his stellar voyage and success.

not all that much better--if i were REALLY taking the high road i should have done so without announcing it!

Taking the high road....I'll just say you're a better person than I.

ï'm going to take the high road and tell you that the recipe is on my website www.rosescakebible.com and all the show's recipes will be posted very soon as we're working on downloading them.
incidentally, patience is a required virtue to be a good baker.

This is a LOUSY website - I was looking for a recipe I saw on TV and, if it's here, it's not evident. Lemon Poppyseed cake looked great. Oh well.

believe me they're lucky to have him and i'm sure it will be an amazingly interesting experience for him.

I'm sure the First Family chose him over others due to his reputation and he will have the opportunity to serve the Bush family and dignitaries from all over the world. How wonderful if he would drop by and leave accounts of his adventures in the White House.

That's great for Bill but what a job! I hope he is super easy going and flexible. I don't believe that Bush has a very evolved fodd knowledge base so it should be interesting to see what is most popular.

Congratulations to Bill and to you! I'm certain you provided plenty of inspiration and guidance.

So... Is Bill a Democrat or a Republican? :D

wow, how exciting! what an awesome job... all through college (i majored in chemistry) i said "i wish i could be a pastry chef"
i think what you do is awesome and a science in itself!
