Day One of Photography for the New Book
I am keeping careful notes to share with you. I'm thrilled with the results of today's photo shoot. We are scheduled for 10 solid uninterrupted days of photography (including on my birthday--never will I have had so many birthday cakes!) after which I will be going to Minneapolis to visit General Mills/Gold Medal Flour to plan the DVD.
It looks like it's going to be near impossible to respond to any blog questions until after April 11 but there will be a posting from me every Saturday as usual.
And I'll check in as often as possible just so that I don't miss anything!

vivien! how great to hear from you. as you can see, i'm months behind on the blog, especially when i have extra things i want to say as is in this case!
of course the photo is up on my wall and, in fact, on the press photo section of this blog. and of course i'll never look so perfect again!
just wait until you see the fabulous new uses to which i've put almonds in the new book including a wedding cake!

Happy Birthday, Rose!
Reading about your experience now with the shoot for your new book, reminds me of when you came to California a few years ago for a photoshoot for your ad with my company's Blue Diamond almonds. That was a wonderful experience--you are such a joy to work with!

Happy Birthday Rose! Or is it happy b'day in advance? I know you missed
4-4-44 by 2 days. So is your b'day today or on the 6th? Regardless, have a wonderful day! I know you will have no shortage on b'day cakes. I wish you all the happiness in the world and a few hours off so you can celebrate with Elliott.

Rose:
I'm wishing you the very best of luck with the photography...how exciting! I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Birthday! (The sound you hear in the background is me, Playing "Happy Birthday to you" on the piano...my secretary and assistant are singing...badly.- I keep my Grandmother's old piano in the office for just such an occasion).
Hope your birthday is as spectacular as your cakes!

it is so amazing--what took me years to create and experience is now kaleidscoping past me in just a few days, i.e. i'm getting to re-experience and retaste all these cakes one after the other. (i and everyone involved may turn into blimps!)
