'Tis the Season
May 03, 2008 | From the kitchen of Rose
... the wedding season that is! Hector, our talented baker/blogger/designer/photographer/friend, has designed a stunning book plate and gift concept for the bride and groom.
He suggests printing it out as a 5x7 photo to tape in your books as a bookplate! He writes that it is ok to print on other sizes but the edges may chop out a little.

Hope you all enjoy and use this idea. What a wedding present for the new or old couple! Have a 5x7 photo made and glue it on the first page of any of Rose's books. This is your signed book copy.
As I did for my dearest friend Emily, who has one on her copy of Cake Bible, and who actually ate the cake you see on this picture! Golden Wheat Carrot Ring with White Chocolate Cream Cheese Buttercream.

Dear Rose,
I made your yellow butter wedding cake with lemon butter cream, lemon curd and raspberries for my daughter's first birthday party. My husband and I had the best time collaborating while baking it and were thrilled with the results. Your book is amazing as is the magical transformation of butter cream while in the mixer ( I really thought that I made a mistake and then turned back around to see a lovely sight.) I am so excited to try making another GIANT cake! I'd love to send you a picture.
Thank you so much,
Jennifer
