I'll be away this week until December 23 for a terrific sounding event in Naples, Italy called Pane, Amore, e Fantasia (Bread, Love, and Dreams) based on a 1950's movie starring Gina Lollabrigida.
Of course you'll be hearing all about it on the blog (after the Swiss trip postings).
I know you'll all continue to help each other in this busy and happy season of holiday baking.

I wish you a great trip! I wanted to say thank you for helping me make perfect pannetone-finally!! I have tried every year to make it, it is always dry and dense and sometimes yuck!! I ordered The Bread Bible, followed the recipe to a T, and it is absolutely perfection! It is silky, moist, almost feathery, with great flavor. I used Fior de Sicilia, the authentic paper from KAF and also KAF fruit cake dried fruits--WOW!!. Thanks Rose, you've made me a rock star in the kitchen many times, I just had to say thank you!!!

Good luck! Watch the trash, filth, and traffic. Don't eat the mozzarella di bufala, either... the bufala eat toxic waste. I know, I lived there for three years.
