PBS 106: Cranberry Walnut Bread

Jun 03, 2009 | From the kitchen of Rose

I really have to stop saying that each recipe I offer on these videos is my favorite but what can I tell you--they all are. That's why I chose them for my first PBS series! Cramberry Walnut Bread, cousin to the Raisin Pecan Bread, is one of the bread I make most often to bring to dinner parties as a hostess present. (They always serve it for the dinner--it makes a perfect accompaniment to a cheese course.) THE RECIPE

lucky i am to have watched ALL the youtube videos already, since i edited these for youtube myself! and this cranberry bread is the ultimate example on how to make bread with so much artisanal scratch and love. the level of detail and instructions are so clear and extensive that the entire episode is only ONE recipe.

enjoy, more to come.

ps. be sure to visit marie wolf's blogspot where she chronicles all the recipes from Bread Bible as marie has bakes every bread from Bread Bible!

This really Looks delicious. I'm not much of a bread baker (Not much of a bread eater, actually, so it sometimes doesn't seem to be worth the effort to me)but I think I'm going to give this one a whirl. Loved watching the video. and so..............where's the new book? where's the new book? where's the new book? (can you tell I'm a little impatient? ) where's the new book? I'm in eager anticipation of the section on cupcakes. (My obsession to find the perfect yellow cup cake recipe is still ongoing.) I've been trying to develop my own recipe, based on your sour cream cake and a cup cake recipe I've found (horror of horrors) elsewhere. IT ISN'T WORKING! Since, as I've said you are my Rock Star of Cake...I've given up on my own efforts and am waiting with baited breath for the new book.
