Hi Narjis,
The chocolate frosting is a Dark Chocolate Ganache and the smooth shiny glaze is the Chocolate Lacquer glaze. Both recipes and techniques for frosting a cake are in Rose's Heavenly Cakes.
There are no new videos scheduled for production at this time. These videos were made at the General Mill's Kitchens in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They are also included on Amazon's kindle version of Rose's Heavenly Cakes.

hi rose wanted to know how did you get that perfect frosting in ur video dvd2 07 tiering cakes... what is it called? could you please post a video showing how to make the same and spread it so perfectly onto the cake.. thanx in advance

Hi Rose. The idea raising the cake by putting cardboard below is genius!
Question: Why not put more cardboard below the cake again when cutting it in half? Wouldn't that be easier than eyeballing it on the turntable? Maybe when the cake becomes too thin it starts to break apart?
Just a thought...hmmm...sounds like product!
