Yay! And you deserve it too- made the Tomboy cake today and it was the best chocolate cake my husband had ever had; it was also the first time I succeeded in making Mousseline! Thanks so much again, Rose!

Congratulations Rose! Well done! Take a break in the country, it's particularly nice up here despite the lack of leaves after a few blustery days!

Rose, I can only imagine that this book is everything you hoped for (not being able to step inside your head and be sure). I feel so grateful that I was here to anticipate it for two years, reading your thoughts and missives all along, get wonderful support from all the amazing people on this website and forum, and getting the opportunity to bake from the book with others! It's even better than when I first discovered the Cake Bible, because I get to bake recipes I wouldn't have chosen on my own.
Heavenly Cakes is a huge accomplishment and great resource to us bakers. May it be on many more Top 10 Lists!

you (Rose) deserve it!!!! and i was just going to say that this is a "we/our" book speaking for all bloggers and internet community.

some quotes i've been listening about the new book, which i take to my pillow every night (well, and each day i walk into my home):

"is like having Rose hold your hand in the kitchen"

"Rose demystifies and elevates one notch all the popular cakes of today"

everyone, guest what, the release of Rose's Heavenly Cakes is just the beginning, i feel in my heart that a whole world of inspirations will develop from the book: new bakers, new recipes, new cakes!

Your new book will most likely stay in the top ten in cookbooks for quite a long time. Your reputation as the premier baking queen should guarantee it. Thanks for another fabulous cookbook.

Congratulations, Rose! This is certainly a very deserving cookbook. Everything we've done so far in the bake-through has been fantastic.

REPLY

thanks hanaa--you're the very first to respond!

yes--whipped cream and jam or jelly is so easy and so very good--especially with home made preserves.

REPLY

Yay! Congratulations Rose!!! They do get it right sometimes and this is one of those times :o) I borrowed your frosting technique used for the Almond Chiffon Cake by using whipped cream and my homemade grape jelly. Amazing! Went very well with my choc cupcakes.
