Rose, Once again thank you so very much! I am hoping to stop by some time next week, if it is convenient for you. I will be more specfic about the day and time as soon as I review my schedule for next week. I will also need to know your home address. You are so kind to do the signing for me. I am so excited! Warmest regards,

harold, i don't add citric acid to my bread dough but i remember when investigating it's use the recommended amount was minute--maybe 1/32 teaspoon for a pound of flour. you should check with the company where you purchase it for their recommendation.

Thanks Rose,

I like to read the comments from the oldest to the newest because I find it to be more of a narrative that way and I can follow the conversation from the beginning. In any case the site is fantastic so I'll take it any way it comes.

Take care,
Janina

I think it is much better to have the newest messages at the top! It saves us scrolling down to the bottom to see the newest, just my opinion for what it's worth.

I was really enjoying reading the comments in order of oldest first and now you have switched it so that the newest are first. Since most other websites have the option that allows the reader to make this choice why can't this website?

The new layout is very attractive and bright! I like what I have seen so far. Like Annie, I am very impressed with your cakes and desserts, Zach, pity you're on the other side of the pond!

Rose, I have a laptop in the kitchen, so there you are watching me bake! I like that the new design is more modern and that it's more reflective of RHC. It'll take me a little time to get used to the new layout and look-and-feel.

Wow - I love it. Love the colors (which the white background brings out), love how the design ties to Heavenly Cakes. I especially love the photo of you at the top rather than a characature. It looks very easy to navigate (I like the next and previous post options at the bottom). It's a very inviting design.

I'll post more comments as I navigate through it, but it makes an impression when you first land on it. Someone used the words "light" which is no doubt a result of the less heavy background color.

Zach

I love it!! The design is much cleaner!
I did like how, in the old blog, the navigation was above the post title and instead of "previous post" or "next post" it actually had the titles of the posts. But that is a small thing--everything else is great!

As a designer, I can only compare it to stepping into a newly renovated kitchen: same great baker, but with better flooring, lighting and wallcoverings. It's also the same feeling I got when I opened the book for the first time in regards to the photography, glossy pages and graphics. Love all of it. You should be proud.

thanks nancy--i've forwarded your comments to the blog masters. you're right--the transition period will have a few glitches such as the rearrangement of posting order with newest at bottom needs to be changed back to newest on top. hopefully the glitches will be minor and resolved very quickly.

Very pretty--in my secondary browser. My primary browser shows a mish-mash of text on top of images, and is unreadable. Looks like there's some sort of css or javascript incompatibility in the new design that my browser can't cope with. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.20 on a Mac.

I also got very odd links in my feed on iGoogle this afternoon, with some sort of print page reference that didn't resolve to the actual blog post. Hopefully that was only over the transition period, as this post came through OK.
