Rose's Heavenly Cakes has just been nominated for an IACP Cookbook Award in the Baking Category!
The winners will be announced at the IACP Conference in Portland Oregon on April 22.
(I could say something funny about "heavenly cakes" being brought down to earth--the 22nd is Earth Day!).

Rose, Congratulations!
After doing some in depth research on your competition, I think that you should definitely get yourself a nice new outfit and get that speech prepared - I can't see anyone else but you winning!
I am pretty sure I not biased or anything, honestly.
Best of luck (with outfit selection and speech preparation, because you definitely don't need it for winning!).
In all seriousness, it must be so great to be recognised by the "establishment" (as well as all us enthusiastic home bakers!). You absolutely deserve it for such a fantastic cookbook. You win my award for best cookbook in my year! Not quite so prestigious...

Congrats Rose. Am so excited about your book. Have got it all wrapped up and will be taking it many miles (am hand carrying it too!) from Asia to Seattle to bake for family. Just wished you could sign my copy.

i don't blame you jessica--the book would add 4 pounds to your possessions! i must say, the few times i've moved, it was the boxes of books that were the killers. my husband always warned me to use small boxes.
