Please Vote for the Book!
Mar 14, 2010 | From the kitchen of Rose
Several people voiced a desire to vote for the book and my response was that I wished there were a "popular vote" or "people's vote." Just received a mailing from the International Association of Culinary Professionals that there is indeed a "people's vote" so you can vote from this link! You need to cast your vote by April 5.
You do not need to be a member of IACP to vote.

I liked your book "Pie & Pastry Bible" so much that I bought the "Bread Bible." Just finished reading it, and, like your other book, I loved it!
But I got to thinking while making this bread, 'how does one go about making multiple loaves?' Suppose I were asked to bake the bread for a large gathering, for example. I would be faced with making, say, 10 loaves of bread. What is the best way to approach this situation? Do you double the recipe and make 5 double batches? do you make them one loaf at a time? I can't imagine mixing the dough for 10 loaves all at once. So what is the best approach in terms of quality and time?

thank you all for voting! janina, i'm not sure why you couldn't get to the right place but i am sure it's not bc you're in canada. the canadian members of iacp would have a fit! maybe you could try on a friend's computer? but thanks for making the effort in any case and for your good wishes.

Thanks Carlos,
I tried again and still can't vote. Maybe its because I'm in Canada? In any case Rose's book definitely deserves to win. She has my vote in spirit anyway.

Janina, I returned to the link to see if I could walk you through it but after I voted a message appeared saying that only one vote per IP was allowed, so I guess I cannot go back from this computer. Sorry.
But the first time around it worked - I clicked on CAST YOUR VOTE and was brought to a ballot page. I don't know why it's not working for you.

Hi,
I clicked on the link and then on the link that said cast you vote and all I found was a web page description of the conference and no place to vote? Did I miss something?
