NewMetro Design Rose™ is Born!
Dec 14, 2011 | From the kitchen of Rose
I'm proud to announce the formation of my new partnership with NewMetro Design, with the NewMetro Design Rose™ Collection of Home Baking and Cooking Tools.
I first met Gary Fallowes, President of NewMetro, about six years ago when he asked me to test his BeaterBlade invention. This is the device that replaces the standard paddle beater on stand mixers and has revolutionized mixing, especially of cake batters. It makes it virtually unnecessary to stop the mixer and scrape the sides of the bowl. It also makes beating the batter much more efficient.
This is a photo of Gary, me, and the BeaterBlade at the IACP Information Fair in 2010.
If you'd like to learn more about the product line please read the press release.

NEWMETRO DESIGN PARTNERS WITH
"DIVA OF DESSERTS" ROSE LEVY BERANBAUM
Duo Powerhouses in Baking Expertise Team Up to Launch the
NewMetro Design Rose™ Collection of Home Baking and Cooking Tools
DUNCANSVILLE, PA (December 14, 2011) - NewMetro Design announces its partnership with America's foremost baking authority and cookbook author, Rose Levy Beranbaum, in the development of an exclusive and premier collection of smartly designed home baking and cooking tools. The new Rose™ collection of home baking and cooking tools from NewMetro Design will be unveiled at the 2012 International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago.
"We're thrilled and honored to collaborate with Rose in creating a select line of premium quality culinary products for the baking and cooking enthusiast," says Gary Fallowes, Founder and President of NewMetro Design. "For many years, Rose has been a dear friend and avid supporter of our solution-based culinary products, which reflect her own vision and commitment to excellence and unparalleled results."
The initial spring 2012 roll out of NewMetro Design's new Rose collection will include four kitchen tools: BeaterBlade™, MixerMate™, JuiceLab™ and ZestN´est,™ as well as three specialty cookware and bakeware items: a Caramel Pot, Crepe Pan and Bain Marie. The four Rose kitchen tools will feature signature rose hued designs, such as rosy-red "wings" on the white, best-selling BeaterBlade electric stand mixer attachment. For the Caramel Pot, Crepe Pan and Bain Marie, Rose's signature - embellished with rose-petal swirls and free-form stars - will be visibly etched on each product's metal handle or base. All packaging will prominently feature a logo that combines a stylized Rose signature, followed by the tagline "Diva of Desserts."
"I'm extremely delighted to team up with NewMetro Design in bringing to market culinary products that truly enhance the experience of home baking and cooking," says Rose Levy Beranbaum. "Beginning with my introduction to the BeaterBlade, which I believe is the most significant invention and improvement to baking since the stand mixer or food processor, Gary and his ace team have greatly impressed me. Not only do they develop brilliant product concepts, they also possess the integrity to test their products meticulously until each one is perfected and meets every criterion of excellence."

sweet christine, freeze the juice of the lemons--even the zest--but not the curd--it loses vibrancy.

Love you Rose- just made your lovely lemon curd as my Meyer Lemon tree is full of lemons!!!!
I always freeze the juice for later use but my question is - Is it possible to freeze the lemon curd itself? What a time saver for me.
Please advise as I have an abundance of beautiful Meyers
