When I think of my bio, I think of my food creations. Baking is so much a part of me. When I started this quest, my kids were little - had more of them (four) than money, so it was to make the dollars stretch. Eventually, I grew to love creating foods, especially baking. Until I got Rose’s Cake Bible, though, cakes were not my forte (the proof is in the photos from my kids’ birthdays). I’ve improved my pizza (esp. after visiting my daughter in New Haven and trying Pepe’s incredible pizza), and breads throughout the years, and now I’m hoping to make some impressive cakes.
My life besides food (is there anything else??) - well, currently I’m blessed to be living near the ocean in a very peaceful, beautiful place, me, my three dogs and one son, who has a studio on the same property. I have a terrific grandson who I miss terribly (his mom moved half way across the country) and another who is not by birth, but who I consider my grandson (son’s girlfriend’s boy) who, amazingly, gave me the name of Bubbie (I’m not Jewish). I love it! And yes, I’ve turned out to be a typical grandmother, always thinking of her grandkids!!
