Ask away, Sarasu! We all learn when people ask questions and share what they want to accomplish in their baking. Welcome to the forum!

Hi WeeGem,  Are you from Lewis?  I’m from Applecross just across the water.  Bheil a Gaelic agad?  I’ve been using Rose’s books for many years and will help you as much as possible with flour info and where to source things.  Welcome to the forums.

Thanks for the lovely welcome.

Annie i’m not a Gaelic speaker.  Unless you count a few phrases i learned while i was a bar maid…lol.  I was born in England, Northants and moved here with my partner and kids 5 years ago.  But my 7 year old daughter is in Gaelic medium.  She loves it and is doing really well.

Was Applecross on the TV a while back.  A man who had tried to become self sufficient.  It looked lovely there.

WeeGem, Yes, that’s THE Applecross!  He’s on Uist this summer, so you can go take a look.  Let’s know when you get your RHC and what you decide to make first.
