I have run out of sources for baking pumpernickel bread. Barry Farm’s pumpernickel flour is reasonably priced, but transportation from Ohio to Menlo Park cost more than the product, even via Amazon. Looking for a source in the Bay area. I usually buy 10-20 lb at a time.
Whole Foods or any of the bulk suppliers quit supplying it.

I bake one whole wheat with sunflower seeds added and a Pumpernickel a week in my bread machine.

GUNTHER:
Good morning, & welcome to out culinary club. Gunther I will post for your benefit 2 locations where I feel you will succeed in getting what you want…if not I have one more idea for you. I do not have their address’s so go thru the yellow pages/white pages of your local phone book. The second entry is to ask for the info you are seeking.
Good luck in your bread baking & enjoy the rest of the day.

Our local food co-op in Madison, Wisconsin, buys some of their flour from Giusto’s, including an organic unbleached pastry flour I use all the time. It’s good quality. I googled their web site:
