I am a bit puzzled.  A few weeks ago I made some bread from Rose’s Bread Bible, took a picture of it and it was uploaded on to the forum with no trouble.  Yesterday I tried to upload some pictures and was unsuccessful as they need to be no more than 400KB I’m told.  And yet the picture I put in previously is the same size as those I am now trying to put in, what has changed, if anything?  l don’t know how to change the size or even if it can be done without investing in some extra software, so how do others do it?  Just for your information, I don’t know whether it makes a difference , but my computer is a Mac laptop.

I always have to resize my pics before I can upload them (I have a mac too). i just go to shrinkpictures.com and then I upload my pic and resize it to either 600 or 350 pixels.  I always have problems uploading my pics directly from the camera to the site. It always says they are too big.

I have a mac and use iphoto to store and organize all my photos.  All are bigger than 400k, and from iphoto I export to any shrinked size needed.

Hector, someday I must investigate iPhoto! In the meantime, I just use folders to organize and store my photos, and use Preview for simple image editing tasks.

the point to start iphoto is from apple itself.  try visit this website, there are some pretty neat video tutorials.

folders to organize and store photos is thing of the past!  iphoto does it similarly but with a graphical interface.  it is very practical specially when one photo should belong to more than one folder and you don’t want to create multiple copies.
