Hello friends

These are the cakes I baked and decorated in last one year cool smile
I bake occasionally but love to bake and decorate following TCB. Needless to say, I owe a lot to this blog and forum. Thank you all.

Thank you so much, Shimi and Rozanne!

The first round cake was for my daughter’s birthday party at home. One of my friends liked it so much that she asked for a bigger one for her daughter’s birthday (second pic).

The birthday-girl above is my friend’s daughter Areesha. Her mom “demanded” a cake for an outdoor party with just 18 hours to go.  The cake from the cakeshop didn’t quite match with the colours of Areesha’s dress; but that was what the mom wanted! And the little one demanded a “3 storied” cake grin

My daughter Apona goes to an Autistic school where they often arrange birthday parties to make the kids understand concepts like ageing, having fun, making a wish etc. I had to decorate it in just half an hour in front of the kids at school. The caterpillar stands for “6”  LOL

Lovely cakes, Nushera!  I like how you designed the “picket fence and flowers cake” from simple piping techniques, wonderful!  What were the flavors and components for your cakes?

Julie, Hector, Skiweaver9—

Thanks a trillion!!!

@Julie
I’m very much into sponge-type cakes; Genoise and Orange-Chiffon “suit” me best grin
And buttercreams are all Mousseline; from regular to peanutbutter/nutella/avocado version.

@Hector
The garden-cake is so easy to decorate… It just took me 5-10 minutes to “cover” the whole cake! But everybody loved that. It looked really soothing in Aussie summer!

I took about three-fourth cup of regular MBC and added the mashed flesh of 3-4 avocados(the outer-greenish-part only) while beating on high with a hand mixer (added a few drops of green food colour too). Avocado itself has got a buttery taste; and it’s not that bad tongue wink
