Using Rose’s Vanilla Cake Recipe As A Base

Has anyone experimented with Rose’s vanilla cake recipe? I would like to use it as a base for various flavours like adding sprinkles for Confetti cake, switching sugar to brown and adding Bourbon for a Brown Sugar vanilla cake or adding crushed oreos for a Cookie’s and Cream cake. Experimenting with baking is costly in time and money so I thought I would ask peoples success here. Thanks!
