Ok this is the frist time I tried to sculpt a cake… (it is for a 21st. b-day cake) I didn’t have much trouble with the bottom of the bottle as it was basiclly square with the corners chopped off…. The neck of the bottle was another story…. I used those little sponge cakes that you use for strawberry shortcake… They were the size I needed and shape… The first problem was when I out the fondant over it they were so spongey they sunk down with the weight so the neck was short and stubby… so I took two more and put them together and covered them with the black fondant and made the top… It turned out ok but it was not as stable as I would have liked… Next time I am gonna try like I see on tv and use rice krispie treats… don’t know if that would be easier or not…. the cake was about 18” tall when I finished and very heavy…. think I should have started with a smaller size cake pan….
