Barbara, What will your first recipe be????  I’ve had mine one week now and made four cakes already - I find it impossible to put down.

I ordered my book through amazon.ca on the September 28th and received it today (October 1)—super fast!  I haven’t given the book the time it deserves, but the photography and design is absolutely stunning!!  It’s now sitting with all of my other books from Rose: Bread Bible, Cake Bible, Pie and Pastry Bible, and Rose’s Christmas cookies!

Hello everyone,
I’m new to the forum.
I placed my order with Amazon last night for Rose’s new book.  I will hopefully have it by the 6th October.
I can’t wait to get started.  I plan on making her chocolate sponge for my son and daughters christening cake if it arrives on time.  Also very excited about trying her lacquer glaze at some point.

Greetings to you WeeGem!  My father was born and raised in Glasgow.

The book is in its second printing now (!), so maybe there wasn’t a large enough first printing to satisfy all pre-orders…

WOW!  I received mine last week, what a beautiful book!  I’ll have to check to see if it is a first or second printing.  I bought an extra copy to give as a gift this Christmas, so they must be shipping well now in the continental US.

I have been thinking of doing the bake-through, I guess I’ll have to get a Blog set up…

I’m sure I’ll have plenty of questions as a noobie to the blogging process!  I just need to get it started now, then I’ll have lots of questions.  Unfortunately, I am so new to blogging that I don’t know what I don’t know about to be ABLE to ask questions…  tongue wink

Well, the two most popular blog hosting sites seem to be WordPress and Blogger. I use Blogger. I hear WordPress has some more features that some folks like, but I have never used them.
