Ok so I have a wedding cake I am doing for a friend of my daughters…. The couple met while running a marathon she asked me what I could come up with and this is what I have done so far. I tried to sculpt a Marathon couple coming over the finish line… The bride has a bouquet and veil and the groom is wearing a bow tie… I had a lot of trouble with the right consistency of the gum paste I made it was either too soft or too hard and kept cracking…. I guess with time it will get easier…. The picture is not that great because I took it with my phone so it hides a multiude of sins… Thanks for looking and any suggestion’s will be greatly appreciated!

Gayle

It looks really good to me!  I used a ready made gumpaste, it held up well.  Satin Ice is the brand.  When it got a little dry, I applied a little vegetable oil and it perked right up!

Hope this helps,

Veronica

I don’t have any suggestion b/c I never work with gumpaste before. But I think it looks really cute. And I like your idea with the flower/bouquet and the bowtie.
