When I was trying different mediums to make the Marathon Bride and groom one of the things I tried was chocolate modeling clay…. Didn’t work for the people but I tried to make a chocolate rose with some of the modeling clay I had made…. Seems like the consistency was an issue it gets really soft really fast.. Any suggestions… The recipe called for 14 oz of chocolate and 1/3 cup of corn syrup…. After it set it said to knead to soften but it gets really soft and hard to handle really quickly….

i use the recipe from Cake Bible.  what chocolate did you use?  use “fake chocolate” called Summer Coating or Compound Chocolate.  I believe it is the same as Candy Melts, as I used Ghiradelli’s white candy melts.  I do this on a marble surface, because it does get soft.
