Just a few quick questions for you forum users:

1) Has spam been a problem?

2) Are the forum groups you have now working for you or do you want other ones created?

3) Is there anything else about the forum that needs maintenance?

Works perfectly fine for me. No problems with spam. Thank you for checking in. Two thumbs up for you for maintaining the blog and forum so efficiently. Maybe we need a “smiley” for that.

Aloha Travis, ocassionally some email addresses are canned, but that is about it.

Blogers are loving the forum as a good place to easilly share and chat

Groups are good.

One suggestion is to revamp the design, maybe make it more graphical by automatically adding a sidebar or banner link or flash carrousel with the last 5 photos posted.  Will draw more attention and we love photos!

So, of course, as soon as you ask this, three spam entries show up…  I have reported them (perhaps others have, too?). Doesn’t happen very often, but occiasionally.

I like this site very much but I would like to see a way of getting back to the top of the thread quickly by just pressing a key instead of having to scroll up through all the messages, other sites seem to have this facility , I don’t know what to call it as I am not computer literate!!

Jeannette - I’ve seen it in some websites too. I think it’s usually a button or a link at the bottom of the page that says “back to top” - something like that.

I like the idea about having a place you can click on to be taken to the top of the page! Especially right beneath the most recent post to each thread.

Would also like to suggest a new section in the Recipes and Equipment part of the forum. One called Ingredients that would include questions and information about any and all ingredients, tips on where to buy, etc. but would be especially useful for links to good info about the properties of basic ingredients like flour, sugar, etc. Thought of this just now because Matthew suggested I do a separate post of a link I found about baking powder, and I’m not sure where to put it other than General Q&A. Seems more important than that—more than just Kitchen Chatter, too. If this group of posts were added, the section should possibly be renamed Recipes, Ingredients and Equipment. For now, will put my post in General Q&A.
