Esta es la historia, quería hornear un pastel para mi cumpleaños pero tenía muy poco tiempo para planear algo “muy especial”. Hector me sugirió hacer el Golden Lemon Almond Cake de RHC book. El problema era que tenía solo un loaf pan de 12” de largo y no el de 8” que sugiere Rose. De todas formas decidí hacerlo la noche antes de mi celebración. Estuve muy triste cuando saqué el pastel del horno y vi que había quedado muy bajito, pensé que estaba horrible y perdí la ilusión de celebrar mi cumpleaños con algo especial. PERO al otro día SORPRESA! lo probé y era el pastel más espectacular que alguna vez haya probado, no lo podía creer. Suave, húmedo, de sabor exquisito, increíble. Este era el pastel “muy especial” con el que había soñado celebrar mi cumpleaños. Quedé muy FELIZ!
This is the story of my Golden Lemon Almond Cake…. I want to bake a cake for my birthday but I didn’t have enough time to plan something “special”. Hector advice me to make the Golden Lemon Almond Cake from RHC book. The only problem was that I only had one loaf pan of 12” and not the 8” one that Rose suggest. Aside from that, I decide to make it the night before the party. I was super sad when I took the cake out from the oven and saw that the cake hadn’t really risen and was semi flat. I thought that was ugly and I lost the illusion to celebrate my birthday with something “special”. But to my SURPRISE!! It tasted great! It was the most amazing cake I had ever taste, I can’t even believe it, Soft, moist, delicious and Incredible. This was the “special cake” I dreamed to celebrate my Birthday with. I felt super HAPPY.
