Ran across this article in the New York Times today about Southern Layer cakes. It talks about a woman that’s 77 years old, who has learned how to bake 15 layer cakes from her mom. She now still makes about 10 in a Christmas season, which is down from her high, which was 105 cakes.
Can you imagine baking 105 15 layer cakes? Or 10 of them when you’re 77? I’m in awe….
