Could anyone recommend a my weigh scale model to use for the homebaker that is very accurate.  I looked on line and it seems there are quite a few different models to choose from.

Do a search on the blog, where this has been discussed at quite some length. Also, there’s a very good article at the My Weigh website that differentiates among the models for bakers, saying which is good for what purposes. The one I’ve got my eye on is the KD7000, but sadly it’s not available through amazon.ca

Added by edit:  Here’s the link to Rose’s blog entry on the subject: http://www.realbakingwithrose.com/2006/02/weigh_to_bake_revisitedthe_per.html#c000391

Kd7000 or its successor the kd8000.  It is the model Rose, Woody, and I use grin

On my web, I also evaluate the MYWEIGH mx500 and the palm 8, these are minute scales useful when weighing salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cream of tartar, if it is your preference to weight rather than using meassuring spoons.

I have the 7001, I am very happy with it.  I also got the AC Adaptor, so I don’t have to worry about batteries.

Carolita,  I just looked online at a canadian website called RightOnScales.ca.  They have the My Weigh 8000 model scale on sale right now for $68.99 CAN.  I think I am going to order this one.  It has some really nice features.  Much nicer than the one that I have now.  I just wanted to let you know in case you were looking to buy one as well.
