Decided to use Rose’s Gingerbread from her Christmas Cookie book this year for my annual gingerbread creation, with great success!

Thanks so much for your kind comment, Hector! Means a lot coming from you. No, it’s just part of my holiday dessert extravaganza and display I hold for my friends and coworkers every year where I prepare as many cakes and tarts from Rose’s books as I can. (This year I managed 10!) Though I do keep the gingerbread house around for months until the last moment when it becomes structurally unsound.

Omg 2!!!  Can I ask next december to shape your gingerbread house like Rose’s Dad barn house?  Rose will be thrilled and the barn has a cute shape!

I agree, stunning gingerbread!  I love Rose’s recipe, we make it every year.

What were the other desserts?  Any pics?  Sounds like a huge undertaking, your friends are very fortunate.
