I would love to purchase a Beater Blade for my KA Pro 6 quart mixer, but I’m confused about which one to get.  I see the yellow Beater Blade that says it is for the Pro models, but the white Beater Blade also says it can be used for my model mixer.  What is the difference between the two besides color? Is the yellow one stronger and less likely to break when mixing a very thick dough?  The price is significantly higher for the yellow blade, but I want to be sure it is necessary and worth it. (Hector, if you are reading this, I know you have the yellow blade. What made you choose that one?)

Because I always go back and forth before buying things, has anyone had a bad experience with the Beater Blade?  I’ve seen a few negative reviews on amazon.com, but I’ve also seen a lot of positive reviews as well.

I don’t think there is any difference in functionality between the models. It is all about the shape your mixing bowl. Get out the flat beater that came with your mixer and match it with the picture on the web page. That’s the one for you.

Thanks, Gene.  The site shows the yellow blade as commercial grade, but the white blade can also be used for my KA model.  I just am not sure if the yellow blade is actually better.  It looks the same except for the color. It would be great to know if anyone has experience with both blades.

it is an amazing product, and of course i have the yellow one.  but both works just fine, and i doubt even the non heavy duty one will fall apart.

Be careful when you choose, make sure you double check the model. I have the artisan mixer and accidentally bought the wrong size beater blade. The blade was too big for my mixer. Thankfully, Amazon was nice enough to give me full refund.

I also bought one from a cooking shop, and when I went to use it I realized it didn’t fit properly. I took it back to the shop and she knew right away what had happened. and we swapped it out. Look under Beater Blade on Google and you will find the site showing you the one applicable for your KA along with pictures of it. These beaters are constructed a little different each from the other for the machines.
