what food coloring did you use?

the yellow rose is done with cake bible’s chocolate rose modeling paste, using white summer coating and powdered yellow food coloring.  this rose is older than 1 year old!

McMormick Red Food Color (amount as called for in recipe).  (which reminds me I have raincheck)

I have paste colors but will have to get some powdered colors.

So many recipes - so little time.

Bill, What red velvet recipe did you use for the cupcakes?  They look beautiful.

Hector - where do you get the powdered colours? I can’t seem to locate any :(  AND - dear Bill - would you be able to share that recipe for the Red Velvet you used with me? I love Rose’s but it is too rich (and expensive!) for large orders - and the cupcakes always come away from the liners which looks disgusting! Or just tell me the source. (I do like Rose’s use of Baking Powder instead of soda - as it allows me to use Almond Milk instead of buttermilk for my Grandson who has milk allergy) THanks so much!
