I had to clip it for my recipe file.  This article appeared in the January 30 Washington Post Food section, with a question from a reader about a rum cake.

Truth be known, I use a boxed mix on occasion as well. Actually, I have the book “The Cake Doctor” and have made quite a few things out of it. I found them so well-doctored, it was virtually impossible to tell a mix was used. This very busy mother of a toddler certainly appreciates a decent shortcut once in a while smile
