NYC Bakery Black and White Cookie Recipe

Does anyone know where I can find a really good black and white cookie recipe?  I have looked on line but so many of the reviewers change the original recipes.  Thanks.

Google refrigerator cookie dough. There are lots of basic recipes online. Also a ton of variations, which is what refrigerator (used to be called ice box) dough is all about. Black and whites, pinwheels, sandies ...you name it. If you have The Joy of Cooking or some other basic cookbook on hand, you’ll probably find a recipe there as well.

In “Simply Sensational Desserts,” Francois Payard has a recipe on p. 65. I have not tried that particular recipe, but I have tried several other recipes in the book, and they are excellent.

There is also one in David Lebovitz’ latest book, Ready for Dessert.  I haven’t tried it, but perhaps someone will chime in who has.

Thanks for the replies.  I tried the recipe from Ready For Dessert.  I was disappointed because the cookie was very lemony.  I will keep looking for a recipe.

I recently made the B&W recipe from Martha Stewart’s Cookies.  It doesn’t call for any lemon extract, but I added just 1/4 teaspoon which was perfect.  I tested several recipes and this was the best one that I found in terms of both taste and texture.
