Hmmmmm….. April is almost gone and we don’t have a May theme….
The (ok, my) suggestions were bread or something with buttercream. Anybody with any other ideas, desires, or curiosities? Or any votes for bread or buttercream?
I think my vote is going to be for buttercream, but only by a small margin! I would honestly be fine with either; it is going to be my first time participating! I am so excited!
I was curious to try out Rose’s burger buns, so I’d be all for bread. But I’d also happily go with buttercream. We’re all so easy going here this month! Though it seems that Kathleen and Julie have a stronger preference for bread than Jemoiselle and Cynthia have for buttercream…
There’s Rose’s No Knead bread? Where? Where?
I was going to try something from the Bread Bible. So far I’ve only tried a couple of breads, and there’s so much more. But I’m game for No Knead Bread too, .
I thought there was a no-knead bread from her, since I saw her posting about it on the blog. My fault for not having the Bread Bible - I have way too many bread baking books so I passed on that one, but I saw these whole wheat burger buns here that I thought looked great! (I’ll unofficially start off my bread month with the chocolate bread that David Lebovitz just posted, and a few baguettes that I’ll make for a cheese fondue on Saturday, but since they aren’t Rose’s recipes they’ll run outside the bake-off :-(
Silke, don’t know if you realize, but Rose does have bread recipes in this blog. There are not a lot, but hopefully there’s one that you’re interested in.
. Though I don’t mind buttercream either.
OH I cannot wait to see what becomes of this! How exciting.
