For the second time, I made Rose’s recipe for Barcelona Brownies using Ibarra chocolate, used in Mexico to make hot chocolate. The first time I made these brownies, I used ganache for the piped filling. This time, I used Walnutella, a recipe I created a few days ago which also uses Ibarra chocolate. The brownies are fantastic (thanks, Rose!) and the Walnutella added more walnut flavor. Recipe and photos on my blog.

Kathleen, those look just perfect!  Love the walnutella idea, a nut lover’s version!

Jessie, Julie and CRenee,

Thank you for your kind comments. The brownies are wonderfully delicious, though all the credit goes to Rose.
