I finally tried the White Velvet cake after I don’t know how long! Wow, what an amazing texture! I just wish it was a tad bit sweeter. Cookies and cream filling and (vanilla) mousseline icing. All the decorations are marshmallow fondant, only inedible items are the dowels for the signs, tree and the stakes in the garden. The pond and honey are piping gel, the garden soil is crushed Oreos, the cattails (punks, my Dad calls them!) are fondant on thin lunguini! I used hearts instead of apples for the teachers’ names on the front of the cake. Thanks for looking!
The theme was supposed to be All Things Bright and Beautiful but I procrastinated in making the fondant pieces, I just had been requested to make a bear and rabbits (only did one!) by my daughter. I was running short on room anyhoo!
Oh, also, I made cupcakes with the extra batter and a day later the wrappers pulled away from the cupcakes, has anyone had this happen? It happened to all of the cupcakes. . . ??
