I made this from the recipe in TBB for the first time.  The crumb is perfect and it is delicious.

I wanted to post the picture before it is all gone

I’m making another one tomorrow.

I made a few mistakes…

1. I should not have put shortening and non stick spray on the sides because the top rolled in a little

2. I should have removed the cake at the minimum time. It was ready as far as the temperature went but I must have poked the apple filling and it appeared soggy to me DUH

Still, it was really delicious

LOL Thank you Anne. It is really good.  It must be very similar in taste to the apple crumb cake you made. I just got the loose bottom pan today so I will be making the cake you made very soon.

Thank you Julie. This is Rose’s recipe taken from her TBB.  I can see this will be a favorite around here.  When my stepson tasted it he said I was sure getting good at baking wink

Your crumb cake loaf looks marvelous, MJ! I’m surprised it lasted long enough to take a picture.

So cute!  I remember when a child told me my chocolate chip cookies were “almost as good as store bought.”  I took this as the compliment I am sure it was intended to be!!

yummy looking professional bread there Missy!

I use bakers joy for my bread pans.

I have to say I have not baked in a couple of weeks because it has been so darn hot! I miss it though
