What?  Yes, it is delightful and great for a breakfast toast. I just used my favorite recipe for Banana Bread and substituted Kathleen’s Mango Chutney for the mashed bananas.

What! Darlene, you amaze me! I never would have thought of putting mango chutney instead of banana in a bread. Your photo of the slice shows a tempting bread. Now, if it was only cool enough to turn on the oven ... 

Hi Kathleen, Since it was your Mango Chutney recipe that I used, you have no choice but to try this, lol.  The mango, ginger, lemon, and raisins mixed together creates such a a tangy mild citrus taste in the bread. My loaf is gone and I am saving the last jar for a special occasion. However, I did get more mangos for another batch.   Happy baking, when it cools down.

missyjean, I think that loaves are a special treat to get.  If you live near a Sur la table, you might want to periodically check their clearance area for pans. Sometimes they have great sales on bakeware.

I’m planning to give loaves of homemade bread/tea cakes as Christmas gifts to some of the people who aren’t my Kris-Kringle this year. 

I don’t live near Sur la Table but I subscribed to their website. I know it isn’t as good as going there and spotting a find but I’ll be persistent with checking their site.

I noticed there are a selection of patterns on Amazon but I like the one you got the best. 

Giving a loaf baked in that pan is a really cool gift..I’m excited about the holidays already
