Last week while out shopping I happened to see a silicone Financier mould which I’ve been looking out for, for some time. Of course I had to have it and couldn’t wait to try it out.  I chose to make the Barcelona Brownies and can recommend them, easy enough to make and lovely to eat!  The mixture made more than I needed to fill this mould with its 9 indentations so I filled another 5 little r!ound brioche moulds also.  Very pleased with my purchase and they were easy to turn out, just pushed them out from underneath, easy peasy.

Jeannette, they look just great!  These are on my to make list.

Those look fabulous, jeannette. Are those chocolate chips baked into them on top, or did they have to be added once they were pulled from the oven?

No, MP—get this!  You put holes in the tops of the brownies and then pipe ganache into them!  Yum!

Jeannette, your brownies look picture perfect!  They make me want to pull one out of my freezer right now…you’re right, those silicone molds are perfect for these (and the financiers!).
