The girls from next door came over today, to bake this cake. We wanted to do this before school started again. We used a Red Velvet box cake mix (easier with younger kids). This particular pan had been talked about on the forum before, so we used a Wilton’s #7 Flower Nail in the head during the baking. I held my breath when it came time to un mold the cake, but everything came out beautifully. The Flower Nail worked. We all had a great time!

They liked the baking and loved the decorating. Frosting was the big hit. Slightly warmed cream cheese icing and Pez for the tentacles. I think they loved it.
There was a lot of laughter and finger licking going on by all of us.
