Guys! Help!!! i am making gumpaste roses for a cake(instead of the candied orange peel roses)...it is a rush cake…I made it yesterday the whole day and when i woke up today…it still is soft and somewhat “sweaty”....Waaaa!! is there a way i maybe able to hasten the hardening cause today is Friday morning here and i need the flowers tomorrow(saturday) evening….huhuhuhu! :’(..kindly help!

What you can do is place your roses in the oven with just the light on.  Do not turn the oven on.  This will help speed the drying time.  I had to do this and it did help.  My gumpaste figures were definitely alot drier but not completely dry.  But enough to use on the cake.

if you have some gum tragacanth add a little to the gum paste.  If you don’t, would you be able to make rolled ribbon roses?
