dear mathematicians, could you verify this is correct?  i am trying to mark my standard round pans (2-inch deep straight sides) in cups, so i can compare with the bundt cake pan volumes with marks given in cups (and will this be in US cups?  which i have no idea what it is!).

Hector, your calculations look fine   If you want to convert cubic inches to U.S. cups, multiply by 0.0692640693. (It looked like the website you were using was a “black box” where you entered the conversion and it calculated it for you.  Nicer to have the factor yourself so you don’t always have to go running back to the website). 

I find, however, that if you have the pan in hand it is more accurate to pour water into it.  The pans aren’t always as they are labeled:  both my 6-cup bundt andd my 6-cup loaf pan hold about 7 cups of water!
