can i substitute pecans for almonds in pie crust

I have a recipe for a pie crust that uses 1 cup of almonds. Can I use pecans instead? (I happen to have them on hand, but not the almonds.)

I would, if the almonds are unblanched (with skins on), so the pie crust remains as unsweet as pecans are!
