substitutions in bread dough?

Can I substitute Agave Nectar for the honey in the basic soft bread dough?

I haven’t tried it, but it will probably work, though there are some benefits to honey that other sweeteners don’t have.  Please report back if you try it.

I agree with Julie. Though I will state the case more strongly. I haven’t tried such a substitution but as an anonymous guy on the internet I predict that it will work just fine. Have a go and let us know. grin

I tried it, and it turned out better than I had hoped! The aroma wasn’t quite as yeasty, and the flavor was a little earthy. I am very happy with the results, thank you all for the encouragement to try!
