I am making a tart from Flo Braker’s Sweet Miniatures book, which involves cranberries, pomegranate seeds, on top of a chocolate glazed shell.  The cranberries are cooked in a sugar syrup.  Can I use frozen cranberries?  Fresh cranberries won’t be available until next month.

I can’t see why not.  They don’t exude piles of juice, but they might not be picture perfect (plump without wrinkles).
