AP Flour instead of Cake Flour

Yes, I made it as a layer cake—everyone went absolutely nuts over it.  It’s posted in show ‘n’ tell with my own honey-cream cheese frosting!!!!  It went perfectly with it, but lots of frostings would go great—chocolate, peanut butter, etc.

Oh yes! I remember that cake! It did look amazing.  Peanut butter frosting cheese  My husband would go crazy for that

Julie, thanks for the tip about ganache. I should start making it the night before.

MJ - your cake looks awesome. Agree with everyone that the ganache looks super smooth. I have this ganache in the freezer, hm.. maybe I should try this cake soon smile.

Too many cakes to make, not enough time!

Bad news, MJ—you don’t even have to thaw it to eat it!  You can dig it out with a spoon, even frozen.  It’s great!  *sigh*

LOL!! MJ and Anne, you two are so funny. I did test the frozen ganache yesterday, pried a little piece with a spoon, to make sure it is really ganache and not some strange concoction.

MJ - it’d be funny to have a lock on the freezer, have friends come over that would ask, and then to hear your answer.

You never can tell.  That’s why you have to taste it again the next day…just to be sure…
