Hello- I’m not much of a bread baker but every year make a loaf in the shape of a sheaf of wheat that serves as a centerpiece. I just bought The Bread Bible and this year would like to use a recipe from that, but don’t know if there are some breads more than others that are conducive to shaping. Any advice would welcome. Hmmm, I must have missed this post first time around- sorry!

The only two that come to mind are the fougasse and the challah, which are traditionally shaped breads.  Perhaps some of the other experienced bread makers will chime in?
