I need to get my 6qt KA repaired. It seems that the gear shaft is stuck, it won’t move either way, left or right. This machine is about 6 years old. Does anyone have ideas for repair shops in the Denver, CO area? Or what kind of repair shops do work on mixers?

It’s either fix it, or chuck it for the 7.5 qt Cuisinart (which I am totally in love with), but right now the 450 dollar price tag on the Cuisinart makes me hyperventilate.

Visit the KA website… you can find very helpful people there.  They will either direct you to a repair place, or maybe they can talk you through figuring out what’s wrong so you can fix it yourself.

Almost any repair shop that services restaurants will be able to deal with your KA mixer.  Try look in the phone book under restaurant supply.
