After about a day of refridgeration, my lacquer glaze, from Roses’s heavenly cakes, developed a matte finish and became no longer shiny. Is this supposed to happen?
Rose warns you if you refrigerate it, it will make the surface dull. I believe she says that you can go over it with a pastry brush and restore the shine, or use a hair dryer some distance away from the surface.
