I know that Rose sometimes suggests blind baking a pie crust on the bottom of the oven. Is it safe to do this with Pyrex pie pans? I’ve read a lot of stores about Pyrex exploding.

Pyrex explodes when you put it on top of the stove…on the burners.  I put my pyrex pie pans on the floor of my gas oven all the time.  No explosions.
