Very nice- did you bake the genoise is a bowl, or sculpt it from layers?  What did you use for syrup?  And most importantly, how did he like it?

Actually his birthday is on 18th(today) so we are yet to cut the cake, but he loved how it looks.

I got the furry texture on the ball with star tip# 16, I actually baked the round cake in the regular oven proof glass bowl and then frosted it with buttercream. It took me 1.5 hrs to frost the cake completely For Syrup : I had left over Cherry liquor syrup from my previous cake( Christmas cake)  I used the same one,

I was just curious how the genoise baked up in the glass bowl?  Did it cook all the way through?

Hiii Liza Cake came out really very nice it was well baked, very very light and yummy. My hubby and all our friends loved the cake. Complete success )
