Cake pulling away from pan before its done.

I have tried a couple of recipes from Rose’s books and they all have been pulling away from the pan before they are done baking. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Other than that, the cakes have turned out great…Help!

Oven might be too hot. Have you verified the temperature using a separate oven thermometer? Baking strips would probably help.

Ckae might also be too dry. I live in high altitude and when I forgot to adjust/increase liquid (for cakes using milk or eggs), the cake pulls/shrinks from the pan before it’s done.
